Description

An excitation function for the elastic scattering of deuterons on deuterium has been measured in the energy range 80<=Esub(d)<=360keV in small energy steps with thin deuterated polyethylene foils on carbon in order to search for a resonance near the d-d threshold in 4He. The coincidence yield between two counters placed symmetrically to the beam at thetasub(lab)=450, as well as the single counter yields have been determined. Evidence for the existence of a resonance could not be established. (Auth.)
