Effect of fine structure on the pitting corrosion of Zr-Os and Zr-Ir alloys

Description
Os and Ir effect on zirconium tendency to pitting corrosion is inestigated in 1n HCl. It is determined experimentally, that Os and Ir increase Zr resistance against local anode activation in HCl solution, only on condition if alloys line structure is sufficiently equilibrium
