Reststrahlen spectra of cerium dioxide
Description
Transparent CeO2 crystals were grown without any perceptible contamination by the fusion process. Results of a transmission and reflection study of transparent CeO2 crystals in the reststrahlen region are given. Optical constants and complex dielectric constants have been calculated. The force constants for the nearest neighbours and the effective charge of Ce4+ are estimated
