Microscopic irreversibility and radiation in a collision between two charged particles

Description
Two-electron collisions are studied while taking into account the propagation delay of electromagnetic fields. The method used here is an expansion in powers of v/c in the relativistic equations of motion (Lorentz-Abraham-Dirac equation). One stresses the impact which the deviation from the hamiltonian behaviour could bear upon the microscopic explanation of thermodynamic irreversibility

Il s'agit d'une etude detaillee du choc de deux electrons en tenant compte du retard de propagation des champs electromagnetiques. La methode employee consiste a faire un developpement en v/c dans les equations relativistes completes du mouvement (equation de Lorentz-Abraham-Dirac). On insists sur l'incidence que la perte d'energie mecanique due au caractere non hamiltonien d'un tel mouvement pourrait avoir dans l'explication microscopique de l'irreversibilite thermodynamiqueAdditional details
