Description
The paper considers the development of a full reprocessing capability in the UK. It examines some of the issues that have driven the developments over the last 40 years and reviews some of the political, technical and perception problems that have been encountered and the lessons learned. The current UK spent fuel management strategy is described and the issues affecting the future developments in the UK with respect to the global developments of the reprocessing and recycle industry are reviewed.
