Myocardial imaging agent synthesis of Tc-99m-p-TPA-DTS and its primary animal experiment

Description
3-(p-Trimethylaminoethyl)-phenylpropane-2, 3-dione-bis-(N-methyl-thiosemicarbazone)-iodide (p-TPA-DTS) was synthesized by methylation of aminoethylbenzene, followed by propionylation, nitrosation, reaction with methylth iosemicarbazide and quarternization. Tc-99m-complex of this compound was prepared by stannous chloride reduction of sodium pertechnetate in aqueous at pH 3. Tc-99m-p-TPA-DTS possessed a clear myocardial image and rapid hepatocellular transit in rabbits
