Description

This paper deals with radioactive waste disposal experience in Europe. Just as the radioactive waste disposal systems vary from country to country, so do the waste classification systems and resulting waste disposal programs throughout Europe. The second part of this paper will introduce the Centre de Stockage l'Aube, France's second low-level radioactive waste disposal facility, which has been in operation since January, 1992
