Collective dose equivalents in the environment of the Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe
Description
The collective dose equivalent in the environment of the Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe (KfK) was determined for the years 1975-1981 up to a distance of 25 kilometers. In the years 1975-1981 the dominating contribution to the radiation exposure of the population was caused by Ar-41 emitted from the Forschungsreaktor-2 (FR-2), decomissioned in December 1981. We therefore evaluated the collective dose equivalent due to the exposure pathway ''γ-irradiation from the radioactive cloud'' of the critical organ whole body. (orig.)

Die Kollektiv-Aequivalentdosis in der Umgebung des Kernforschungszentrums Karlsruhe wurde bis zu einer Entfernung von 25 km fuer die Jahre 1975 bis 1981 bestimmt. Im Berichtszeitraum 1975 bis 1981 war der wesentliche Beitrag zur Strahlenexposition der Bevoelkerung durch das vom Forschungsreaktor-2 (FR-2), der im Dezember 1981 stillgelegt wurde, emittierte Ar-41 bedingt. Daher wurde die Kollektiv-Aequivalentdosis aufgrund des Belastungspfades ''γ-Strahlung aus der radioaktiven Abluftfahne'' fuer das kritische Organ Ganzkoerper errechnet. (orig.)
