Does the third mutual friction coefficient B'' exist

Description
Precise measurements of the attenuation of a second-sound wave propagation axially in rotating He II at first sight suggest that the third mutual-friction coefficient B'' has a non-zero value (B'' = 0.021 at 1.9 K). But the observation of metastable states associated with various levels of attenuation is not reconcilable with the semi-classical model of the vortex line

Des mesures precises de l'attenuation d'un second son se propageant dans l'helium II en rotation parallelement la l'axe suggerent a priori que le coefficient de friction mutuelle B'' n'est pas nul (B'' = 0,021 a 1,9 K).
