Investigation of the radial ionization distribution of heavy ions with an optical particle track chamber and Monte-Carlo simulation
Description
In this thesis the radial dose distributions induced by a 12C beam with energies from 400 MeV/u down to Bragg peak energies, a 65 MeV/u 40Ar beam, a 650 MeV/u 84Kr beam, and a 1 GeV/u 238U beam are determined by means of a tissue-equivalent optical-read-out particle-track chamber. (HSI)
