RR Pictoris - an intermediate polar?
Description
Five nights of photoelectric observations in UBV system with 5 second time-resolution give evidences of an eclipse of the hot spot in the system - particularly in band U. Fourier analysis of the data reveals the presence of coherent brightness modulation in all bands with a period of about 15 min. In many respects RR Pic is similar to intermediate polars and very probably is a member of this group of objects. 19 refs., 7 figs., 4 tabs. (author)
