Evaluation of conventional x-ray radiography procedures in some hospitals in Kassala State

Description

In this research we studies the performance of the X- ray machines used in medical diagnosis in Kassala State using quality control tests of x-ray machines for evaluation of their performance. The tests included: Accuracy of the input parameter tests (kVp, current and time product mAs), kVp and time reproducibility tests, as well as X-ray quality tests (HVL tests) and dose linearity. The data were collected and compared with global references and standards, which were relied upon to accept or reject. The results showed that must of X-ray machines in Kassala State with good performance compared with standard level recommended. (Author)
