Reactor Engineering Department annual report, April 1, 1985 - March 31, 1986

Research and development activities in the Department of Reactor Engineering in fiscal 1985 are described. The work of the Department is closely related to development of multipurpose Very High Temperature Gas Cooled Reactor, High Conversion Light Water Reactor and Fusion Reactor, and development of Liquid Metal Fast Breeder Reactor carried out by Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation. Contents of the report are achievements in fields such as nuclear data and group constants, theoretical method and code development, reactor physics experiment and analysis, fusion neutronics, shielding, reactor and nuclear instrumentation, reactor control and diagnosis, reactor decommissioning technology, and activities of the Committee on Reactor Physics.
