Description
The effect of elongating the plasma cross section on the plasma properties was studied by making detailed diagnostic measurements. A pulsed gas injection system for Doublet IIA is described. The magnetic characteristics of the experimental discharges are described by a free-boundary MHD equilibrium code. Several plasma diagnostic systems are also described
