Synthesis, structure and properties of bimetallic manganese(II,III) and dioxouranium(VI) complexes derived from bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde) oxaloyldihydrazone

Description

The bimetallic manganese(II,III) and dioxouranium(VI) complexes [Mn4(napoxhH2)2(CH3COO)4].4H2O, [Mn4(napoxlh)2(H2O)8].4H2O, K4[Mn4(napoxlh)2F6(H2O)2].2H2O, [UO2(H2O)4]2[Mn4(napoxlh)2(CH3COO)4.4H2O and K4(UO2)Mn3(napoxlh)2F6(H2O)2] have been synthesized from bis(2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde)oxaloyldihydrazone (napoxlhH4). The complexes have been characterized by physical and spectral data. IR spectral data indicate that the dihydrazone coordinates to the metal centres in keto as well as enol forms in the anti-cis-configuration in all of these complexes. (author)
