Correlations relative to alkali metal halides melting
- 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Ural'skij Nauchnyj Tsentr
Description
Using as an example alkali metal halides, an approach to the description of ionic salt melting lines on the basis of monoparametric thermodynamic similarity is considered. A correlation between thermodynamic similarity parameter (c) of melting lines and reduced change in the volume (Δν-tilde) in the melting point at atmospheric pressure is detected. Using the linear diameter rule evaluations of the critical point parameters on liquid-vapour equilibrium line are made. Existence of correlation between asymptotic values (T → 0) of pressure on melting lines, as well as on spinodals of streched liquid, is shown
