The effect of radiation on aqueous solutions of triethylamine
Description
The effect of ionizing radiation on aqueous solutions of triethylamine in the presence of nitrite ions has been studied by spectrophotometric and gas-liquid chromatographic method. The data on kinetics of formation of nitroso compounds: nitrosodimethylamine, nitrosodiethylamine and nitrodipropylamine in the range of dose loading used in the process of radiation chemical technology. It is established that with the increase of the irradiation dose, the quantity of nitrosamines rises and reaches maximum at the dose equal to 80 kGy. With further increase of integral radiation dose, reduction in quantity of nitrosamines is observed
