Continuously working halogen separation equipment for measuring radioactive halogen concentrations, particularly iodine
Description
The I-131 measuring equipment consists in the main of an NaI(Tl) detector with a photo-multiplier, which is surrounded by a cooling jacket. There is a temperature sensor on the coding jacket, which feeds a control device. The temperature of the photo-multiplier is controlled by the control device. This constant temperature control guarantees an improvement of the signal/noise ratio of the useful signals obtained. (DG)

Das I-131-Messgeraet besteht im wesentlichen aus einem MaI(Tl)-Detektor mit Photomultiplier, der von einem Kuehlmantel umgeben ist. An dem Kuehlmantel befindet sich ein Temperaturfuehler, der eine Steuereinrichtung speist. Mit der Steuereinrichtung wird die Temperatur des Photomultipliers geregelt. Diese Temperatur-Konstantregelung gewaehrleistet eine Verbesserung des Rauschabstandes der gewonnenen Nutzsignale. (DG)Additional details
