Neutron generator with a laser ion source

Description

The development is reported of a small-size low-voltage neutron generator, a generator with the laser ion source. With the accelerating voltage of about 100 kV and with the (D, D) reaction, the output of 105 neutrons/pulse has been obtained. It is indicated that the efficient utilization of laser plasma properties due to advances in the construction, use of the (D, T) reaction and of the frequency lasers yield the output of 1011 neutron/pulse
