Fast switching of strong electron beams by leading magnetic field force line reconnection

Description
For checking a possibility of realization of fast switching two ribbon beams in the same vacuum channel is used approach, which consists in reversal of beam motion direction. Beams, produced in the same diode, are transported in two diverged at some angle vacuum channels. It is shown that beam switching during the time of the order of ten microseconds may be realized by leading magnetic field force line reconnection for the case of high-current relativistic electron beams with ribbon section
