Diphenates of Y, La and light lanthanides
Description
The formation conditions of Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd diphenates were studied and their quantitative composition and solubilities in water at temp. 298 K were determined (their solubilities are of the order 10-3 mole/dm3). Their IR and X spectra were recorded and it was found that these compounds were crystalline and ionic bonds occurred between metal and oxygen of carboxylic group. The conditions of thermal decomposition of Y, La and light lanthanide diphenates were examined and their activation energies of dehydration and decomposition reaction were determined. (author)
