Utilization of thermal analytical techniques in uranium tetrafluoride (UF4) characterization

Description
Thermal analytical techniques are widely used in the material field. thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) were used in this worth to characterize uranium tetrafluoride 9UF4). UF4 is an intermediary product in the uranium hexafluoride (UF6) preparation process. There are many processes to obtain UF4 and according to the method adopted and the drying treatment, the samples showed a different thermal behaviour. (author)
