Use of grain-oriented materials in low-frequency magnetic shielding
Description
The paper presents a comparative analysis of different ferromagnetic laminations used for the reduction of ELF magnetic fields. The investigation is performed by means of measures and simulation. The numerical model is based on a hybrid technique coupling finite element and boundary element methods and accounts for magnetic nonlinearities and eddy currents. The results show that the use of GO magnetic materials can significantly improve the shielding efficiency
