Description
Monodisperse aerosol generator is the necessary equipment when controlling the concentration and equilibrium factor of radon daughter in radon chamber. In order to achieve the control of the concentration of radon daughters and the pattern of behavior research which radon daughters attached to radioactive aerosol in radon chamber, this paper set up a condensation aerosol generator. The device consisits of aerosol condensation nuclei generator, saturator and reheating condensation device, and can happen out of pure NaCl nuclei, pure DEHS droplets and NaCl + DEHS mixed aerosol particles. Experiments showed that the good monodispersity of pure NaCl nuclei and NaCl + DEHS mixed aerosol particles can be kept, and pure DEHS droplets dispersed generally higher. Different types and different particle size distribution can be controlled by changing the overall gas flow, the concentration of NaCl solution, the amount of desiccant, the temperature of saturator, reheater temperature and the different branching ratio. The results may be in line with the basic theory of aerosol generator. (authors)
