Properties of superheavy nuclei in the mass table region 500≤A ≤728

Description
Ground-state properties of superheavy nuclei with 500≤A≤728 lying along the β-stability line are investigated in the framework of nuclear density functional theory and Skyrme-type effective forces. The numerical results obtained convey two new neutron (N=406 and N=500) and a new proton (Z=228) magic numbers. Half-radii and surface thickness of nuclear densities are considered as a function of A. 6 figs., 8 refs
