The use of CAMAC in a multiprogramming operating system for high energy physics experiments

  • 1. Rutherford High Energy Lab., Chilton (UK)

Description

A Multiprogramming Operating System has been written to run on Honeywell PDP-516 computers involved in data acquisition for High Energy Physics at the Rutherford Laboratory. A modular approach has enabled the operating system to be implemented on several experiments and one of these implementations is discussed in detail
