The laboratory of corrosion resistant materials

Present article is described the activity of the laboratory of corrosion resistant materials. The main aims of laboratory were the elaboration of theoretical and technological aspects of synthesis of new corrosion resistant aluminium and zinc alloys; elaboration of a theory of corrosion resistant of aluminium and its alloys. Thus, the metallurgy of corrosion resistant aluminium alloys, kinetics of their high temperature and electrochemical corrosion in neutral mediums was studied. The modification of casting aluminium-silicon alloys by strontium was carried out. The optimal composition of alloys, mechanical properties and corrosion resistant of various alloys were defined.
