K X-ray spectrum of Na excited by photons

Description

The Na K X-ray spectrum of NaCl excited by Rh tube X-rays is studied. The average satellite group energies of KL1 and KL2 are found to be in general agreement with those studied by heavy-ion excitation and also with the Dirac-Fock theoretical evalutations with one electron in the M-shell. The KL1 and KL2 relative intesities with respect to KL0 are found to be in general agreement within the range of errors with the previous photon excitation data but a bit higher than the recent electron excitation data
