Description

The present invention is aimed at improving the random access time to a stimulable radioluminescent screen point (and consequently the reading time of the screen image); it is noticeably useful for longitudinal tomography. The reading device contains a source emitting a stimulation radiation beam towards the stimulable radioluminescent screen, a control mean of the stimulation radiation beam and a deflection mean which allows the beam to scan the screen surface. Abstract (French)

La presente invention a pour but d'ameliorer le temps d'acces aleatoire a un point de l'ecran radioluminescent stimulable et donc le temps de lecture en vue de faire, notamment de la tomographie longitudinale. Le dispositif de lecture comprend une source emettant un faisceau de rayons de stimulation vers l'ecran radioluminescent stimulable, un moyen de controle de l'intensite du faisceau de rayons de stimulation et un moyen de deflexion qui permet au faisceau de rayons de stimulation de balayer la surface de l'ecran radioluminescent stimulable. Ce dispositif se caracterise par l'emploi d'un moyen de deflexion de type acousto-optique tres rapide
