Description

As we know Talc is a natural mineral which is used in different areas for different purposes. The principle of this paper is analysis of structural properties of the natural talc therefore the different types of structural treatments were used. Talc powder was dry milled by vibration. Then the samples were alkalized by hydrochloric acid. To study its structural property the specific surface area and cumulative pore volume values of the starting material were 10.1 m2/g and 0.09 cm3/g. It was observed that the acid treatments were main reason to increase of the specific surface area. A small increment in the Vcp was observed for all prepared samples. The treated samples were examined by using X-ray diffraction techniques.
