The solar wind
Description
Detailed studies on 'solar wind', the emission of plasma of high speeds from the Sun, are reported. Early investigations, the characteristics of the solar wind, its interactions with geomagnetic field, interplanetary gas, cosmic rays and comets are described. Observations by satellites are also included. (A.K.)
