Production and transmission of electron beams for Heaven-I preamplifier

Description
The author describes the design and construction of the production and transmission system of electron beams for 'Heaven-I' preamplifier. to obtain lower voltage (400 kV) and higher current density (143A·cm2) for the optical aperture (φ12 cm) and required laser output energy (40J) the diode separator structure in the vacuum side, electrode form, length of drift space, Hibachi open area, etc. are considered. The experiment results are given and the influence of the Marx voltage start time on electron beams energies is discussed for the fixed switch trigger time
