Galvanomagnetic and thermoelectric properties of CeSisub(x) compounds

Description
Changes in temperature and field dependences of resistance, the thermal emf coefficient, the Hall resistance, and transverse magnetoresistance, in transition from nonmagnetic Kondo-lattice to ferromagnetic one in CeSisub(x) series are studied. Measurements are carried out with polycrystalline samples in the temperature range (1.7<T<300) K in magnetic fields upto 40 kOe. The data obtained confirm the existence of transition from the paramagnetic state to ferromagnetic one in CeSisub(x) for compositions with x< or approximately 1.8. Interrelation of Kondo and magnetic interactions in forming the ground state in CeSisub(x) system is discussed
