How B and W designs its nuclear boiler
Creators
Description
The use of computers in Canada by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. and Babcock and Wilcox Canada Ltd. is described in support of designing and building steam generators and preheaters for the CANDU program. The mathematical modelling programs are based on modular representations of process units and are required to produce components meeting the requirements of ASME codes. The latest design for 600-MW reactors is described. (T.I.)
