Special occurrences in the nuclear power plants of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1989

Description

In 1989, 302 special occurrences were recorded in the nuclear power plants of the Federal Republic of Germany. The report contains a complete list of all the special occurrences reported in 1989. No releases or discharges of radioactive substances at more than the licensed levels occurred. In no case was there any hazard to persons or to the environment. Special occurrences in the top reporting category, S (immediate), were not registered in 1989. 3% of the special occurrences were reported in the medium category, E (urgent), while 96% were in the lowest category, N (normal) and 1% in category V (pre-commissioning). The special occurrences were analyzed under various aspects. No systematic weak spots were detected. (orig.)
