The ATLAS transition radiation straw tracker (or TRT): present status and performance

  • 1. Moscow Eng. Phys. Inst. (Russian Federation)

Description

The main issues relevant to reliable operation of the ATLAS transition radiation tracker (TRT) at LHC are discussed. Progress in the development of large scale straw-tube mechanical and of front-end electronics is presented. The expected TRT performance at LHC is also illustrated. (orig.)
