Synergistic extraction of americium with HBTMPDTP-TBP from nitric acid

Description
Extraction of trace amount of americium with HBTMPDTP-TBP from nitric acid solution is studied and obviously synergistic extraction occurs. The influences of HBTMPDTP concentration, TBP concentration and pH value in equilibrated aqueous solution are investigated. The complex is assumed as AmA3·HA·TBP with slop method. The extraction constant is calculated and extraction mechanism is discussed
