On the heavy leptons

Present status and recent advances in the heavy lepton research are reviewed. After a short introduction, the decay widths of heavy leptons are discussed. Some experimental facts showing the existence of tau+ and tau- heavy leptons are pointed out as evidences on theoretical predictions. Fundamental principles in connection with heavy leptons are discussed in details. Finally, the effects of heavy leptons on the gauge models are presented. (R.P.)
