Processes for manufacturing vanadium compounds from liquid fuel ashes
Description
Based on the investigations carried out, the directions of using up liquid fuel ashes are presented. There are possibilities for enrichment of vanadium ashes by hydrothermal treatment to give concentrates containing above 80% V2O5. Flowsheets of vanadium and nickel recovery processes by digesting ashes with sulphuric acid and by sintering them with alkali are given. The capacity of vanadium separation processes may reach 98% at high purity (99%) of the products obtained. (author)
