Radioimmunodetection of metastatic colorectal cancer with radiolabeled monoclonal antibody

Description
H-15, a mouse monoclonal antibody (MoAb) to sialyl-Lea antigen belonging to IgG1 class was established. Screening on tissues and on cell lines demonstrated a good specificity of the MoAb for primary and metastatic colorectal carcinomas. The biological distribution and imaging characteristics of iodine-131 labeled MoAb H-15 were studied. Direct imaging was successful in 3 out of 12 hepatic metastasis and 6 out of 16 local lesions of colorectal cancers. Technesium-99m albumin blood pool studies reconfirmed the selective localization of MoAb and MoAb H-15 was proved to be effective in radioimmunolocalization and dosimetry study of colorectal cancers
