Preparation of gold-195 without carrier
Creators
Description
Extraction of gold(3) microamounts and high amounts of platinum(4) from nitric acid solutions by diethyl and diisopropyl ethers is studied. The suggested technique of extraction using diisopropyl ether enables to obtain gold-195 without carrier with the yield over 90% from platinum target irradiated by protons using cyclotron. With the exception of low amount of gold-199 no other radioactive impurities were detected in gold-195. 5 refs., 1 tab
