Fragmentation of 40Ar at 100 GeV/c

Description

The ΔZ >= 1 reaction cross sections for 1.8 GeV/n 40Ar have been measured on targets ranging from H to Pb. Comparing these cross sections with 1H, 12C, and 16O reaction cross sections at relativistic energies yields a formula for nucleus-nucleus reaction cross sections. (orig.)

Der Wirkungsquerschnitt fuer 1,8 GeV/n 40Ar bei Reaktionen von ΔZ >= 1 wurde an Targets von H bis Pb gemessen. Vergleicht man diese Wirkungsquerschnitte mit den bei 1H-, 12C- und 16O-Reaktionen und relativistischen Energien gewonnen, erhaelt man eine Formel fuer Wirkungsquerschnitte von Kern-Kern Reaktionen.
