Specific features of thermoelastic martensitic transformations in [001]-single crystals of titanium nickelide

Description
Ti-50.3 at. % Ni and Ti-51 at. % Ni single crystals oriented along [-111], [001] and [-117] directions are used to study the conditions of superelastic effect manifestation under deformation. In hardened Ti-51 at. % Ni single crystals free of crystal defects and dispersed particles the effect of superelasticity is revealed at the compression axis orientation in the vicinity of [001] direction. It is shown that the superelasticity and the temperature range of its manifestation are governed by the level of high temperature B2-phase deforming stresses

На монокристаллах Ti-50.3 ат. % Ni и Ti-51 ат. % Ni, ориентированных вдоль направлений [-111], [001] и [-117], исследовали условия проявления эффекта сверхэластичности при деформации. В закаленных монокристаллах Ti-51 ат. % Ni, не содержащих дефектов кристаллического строенияи дисперсных частиц, обнаружена сверхэластичность при ориентации оси сжатия вблизи направления [001]. Показано, что сверхэластичность и температурный интервал ее проявления в монокристаллах никелида титана контролируются уровнем деформирующих напряжений высокотемпературной В2-фазыAdditional details
