Interactions of high-energy cosmic rays with extragalactic infrared radiation background

Description

The modification of extragalactic cosmic-ray spectrum caused by cosmic-ray interactions with infrared background photons which are present in the extragalactic space together with relict photons is considered. It is assumed that cosmic-ray spectrum at superhigh energies has extragalactic origin and is proton dominated

Abstract (Russian)

Рассматривается спектр космического излучения (КИ) высоких энергий, обусловленный КИ-взаимодействием с фотонами инфракрасного фонового излучения, которые присутствуют в экстрагалактическом пространстве вместе с реликтовыми фотонами. Предполагается, что КИ-спектр при сверхвысоких энергиях имеет экстрагалактическое происхождение с преобладанием протонов
