New approach to meaning of minimally sufficient emergency protection of VVEhR
- 1. OKB Gidropress, Podol'sk (Russian Federation)
Description
A new approach is proposed to determining the minimum sufficient number of the reactor control system (RCS) elements and the efficiency of the WWER emergency protection. The approach includes a new probabilistic method for determining the emergency protection efficiency in the case of failures of different number of control elements. Taking as an example the WWER-1000 reactor it is shown that sufficiency of the efficiency of the emergency protection with 49 control elements of RCS for the design accident with steam line rupture
Abstract (Russian)
Additional details
