Automation of a measurement systems of waste drum alpha activity

Description

The alpha radiator activity in the two-hundred liter waste drums is found by an IN96, computerized analyzer of the society Intertechnique, from data delivered by a gamma detector (GeHP) and by neutron detection blocks (He counter). This computerized analyzer manages not only the drum rotation and position in front of the detector, but also the experimental data monitoring and their processing from specific programs (background noise, calibration, drum measurements). Thanks to this automation, the measurement number and their reliability are optimized

Abstract (French)

L'activite des emetteurs alpha contenus dans les futs de dechets de 200 litres produits a Bruyeres-le-Chatel est determinee par un IN 96, analyseur programmable de la Societe Intertechnique, a partir des donnees delivrees par un detecteur gamma (GeHP) et par des blocs de detecteurs neutron (compteur He). Cet analyseur programmable gere non seulement la rotation et la position du fut devant le detecteur, mais aussi l'aiguillage des donnees experimentales et leur traitement a partir des programmes specifiques (bruit de fond, calibration, mesure des futs). Grace a cette automatisation le nombre des mesures et leur fiabilite se trouvent optimises
