The clinical effect of the protector for iridium-192 after loaded implant in the treatment of primary tongue cancer

Description

The protector for iridium-192 after located implant which is the treatment of primary tongue cancer, can be of significant benefit to patients with such medical problems. The authors have developed a new comfortable protector for wearers with such problems. It has several clinical benefits. The new protector is made of lead and soft resin (Erkoflex). The procedure is to place lead between two layers of Erkoflex. Both materials were made of one body which was compressed by an air compressor. This is the first time such a method of treating has been performed anywhere. As result, the authors experimented on some clinical cases in the treatment of primary tongue cancer, and the results obtained have proved to be very satisfactory. (author)
