The 's' line in the L spectrum of 62Sm

Description
A 40 cm bent mica crystal spectrograph of the transmission type has been used to study the L emission spectrum of samarium. A new diagram line corresponding to the quadrupole transition Lsub(III)Msub(III) (s) as lambda=2336.0X.U has been reported for the first time. The presence of Lsub(III)Msub(I)(l) transition, hitherto observed only by Coster in 1922, has been confirmed. (Auth.)
