Description
High-temperature superconductivity is one of the most fascinating fields in solid-state physics. Basic aspects have been investigated in detail to improve the fundamental understanding of their outstanding features and to promote the application of superconducting components and devices. The thermodynamic properties at the phase transition, magnetic flux dynamics and critical currents, electronic structure of cuprates and related compounds, lattice structure and dynamics, and the treatment of highly correlated electron systems are topics presented in this article.
