Factors affecting γ spectrum analysis for real-time fuel element rupture detection

Description
The authors describe the factors affecting γ spectrum measurement and analysis of reactor fuel element rupture detection. The main interference factors are γ rays from 19O, 16N and corrosion, annihilation radiation by high energy γ rays and 75 keV X ray from Pb shield. Above results have been successfully applied to the monitoring and analyzing of element safety in reactor
